How to Give Hosted Clients Access to their ASICs
Overview
When managing a hosted operation, one of the most important steps in account setup is ensuring clients have access to view and manage their miners.
There are two primary ways to configure this access:
- Adding clients directly to your team with custom roles and permissions.
- Creating or linking a client subaccount and sharing miner access through that subaccount.
Method 1: Add Client to Your Team
1. Navigate to the Teams Tab
- From the left navigation bar, select Teams.
- Click Add New Role to create a custom role for your client.
2. Configure a Client Role
- In the Default Roles list, select the Host role as a starting point.
- Customize permissions according to what your client should have access to.
- Review each permission toggle carefully, then click Save and assign a Role Name.
3. Add the Client User
- Click New Member and enter your client’s email address.
- Select the appropriate Subaccount.
- Assign the Host Role you just created.
- Once submitted, the system will send the client an email invite with the configured access level.
Result: The client now has controlled access to their miners through your existing subaccount permissions.
Method 2: Create or Link a Client Subaccount
1. Check if the Client Has an Existing Subaccount
- If they already have one, they can send you an invite from their end.
- Once you accept, both accounts will be linked and you can share the ASICs.
2. Create a New Subaccount (if Needed)
- Click your Subaccount dropdown at the top of the dashboard.
- Press the + icon to Create New Subaccount.
- After creating it, navigate back to the Teams tab to add your client and assign them access to this subaccount.
3. Set Access
- Within Teams, you can assign your client the Admin role or the Host role for their own subaccount.
- This gives them full control within their subaccount while keeping boundaries clear between accounts.
Sharing Miner Access
Once the client’s subaccount and role are ready:
- Go to your own Subaccount where the miners are currently assigned.
- Select the specific miners belonging to that client.
- Click Group Action → Share Access.
- Choose the client’s Subaccount from the dropdown.
- Select if they will have Tunnel access or not.
- Click Submit.
Result:
The selected miners will appear in the client’s subaccount. They can now view their miners, monitor performance, and initiate withdrawals securely through their own account.
