Configuring Location Profile

Location Profile Overview

The Location Profile is a key setup step in LōD that ensures your site data—such as power costs, hash rate targets, and dynamic pricing—is accurate and aligned with your region. Properly configuring this section allows the platform to deliver precise performance and financial insights across your mining operation.

Key Steps Covered in the Video

  • Access the Location Profile
Go to Settings → Location Profile to view all sub-accounts associated with your organization.
Archived sub-accounts will still appear, marked with an “Archived” label.
  • Select and Edit Sub-Accounts
    • You can select all sub-accounts at once, or only specific ones for Group Edit (to apply a single parameter change to multiple accounts).
    • To configure an individual site, click Edit Profile next to the desired sub-account.
  • Set Country, Time Zone, and Tags
Choose your country and time zone, then add tags to help your team identify or categorize sites (e.g., location labels, maintenance notes, or power provider tags).
  • Define Expected Performance Metrics
Toggle on Expected Hash Rate and Expected ASIC Count to measure operational efficiency—e.g., tracking if 98% of ASICs are online or if hash rate exceeds expectations.
These fields can be left off if not needed.
  • Configure Electricity Pricing
    • Fixed Pricing: Enter your static cost per kilowatt hour.
    • Dynamic Pricing (Energy Package): Switch to Dynamic, select your region and node (e.g., ERCOT → LZ West), and LōD will automatically pull real-time energy rates based on what your QSE or CSP ID is.
    • Add Additional Financial Details
      Input optional values for:
    • Fixed daily costs (e.g., lease or maintenance)
    • Surcharges per kWh
    • Pool fees
    • QSE or CSP ID
These inputs enhance the accuracy of your site’s financial reporting.
  • Configure Site Map Settings
Choose whether your site map should be IP-based or MAC-based, and set the map’s directional layout to match your site orientation.
  • Save Your Configuration
After reviewing all details, click Submit to finalize your setup. The location profile will now feed accurate environmental, operational, and financial data into your LōD dashboard.
